Engaging with your stakeholders is part of the journey

To really get sustainability off the ground, it is important that effective stakeholder engagement takes place. This means talking with  your stakeholders and taking them with you on that journey. Stakeholders in most instances refer to individuals or groups who have an interest or role in the project, programme or portfolio, and may be impacted by it. Stakeholders typically exist both inside and outside the organisation (e.g. employees, clients, suppliers, the general public, and interest groups) and can present diverse and different interests.

Stakeholder engagement is the systematic identification, analysis, planning and implementation of actions designed to influence stakeholders. Stakeholder engagement is also the process by which government or an organisation involves  their stakeholders and people who may be affected by the decisions made, or people who can influence the implementation of the decisions.

We provide stakeholder engagement strategy services identifying the needs of key groups. It is usual for project professionals to identify stakeholders and then analyse the degree to which they may become a help or hindrance by considering a number of factors, including:

  • the relative power of the stakeholder to change how things are done;
  • the degree of interest that the stakeholder is likely to demonstrate actively;
  • the likelihood of the stakeholder to support the project.

We provide a range of services in the area including stakeholder mapping, event hosting, marketing and communication, research with stakeholders, and also stakeholder consultation. Get in touch to discuss your needs.
